While carrying out my duties of copy editing and fact checking articles, I developed my written communication skills. I would also liaise with fellow colleagues (e.g. editor and writers) as I guided them towards meeting tight publication deadlines. My other responsibilities were to write the introduction, to occasionally write articles to fill space and to design the newsletter.
Aim of Newsletter
Published bi-monthly by The Madinah Academy, the newsletter targeted the English speaking Muslim youth of Old Trafford, promoting knowledge & understanding of Islamic events & etiquettes (e.g. significance of various Islamic Holidays, treating parents with respect).
