To aid myself in learning VB.NET, I converted my earlier ASP.NET Forum assignment from C# to VB.NET. I also changed the database from Microsoft Access to SQL Server. Additionally, I enhanced the forum by adding more forum features, and improving the theme and security.

Accompanying the web portal was this ecommerce website, which would sell Islamic audio CDs (containing poems and recitation of the Holy Qur’an). The website was developed using a turnkey ecommerce webhosting package from 1&1, which I configured, customised and enhanced using a combination of PHP, HTML and CSS

I worked as a Web Developer for an Islamic portal that contained Islamic articles & mp3 downloads (mp3s of lectures, poems and recitation of the Holy Qur’an). The website ran on the MDPro CMS, although it was customised using a mixture of PHP, HTML & CSS.

I worked on a website for my local Masjid (Muslim prayer hall). It initially consisted of static web pages created using Microsoft FrontPage, which were replaced by the CMS PHP-Nuke, & then PostNuke (now called Zikula).
